She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Whittington Sauls and Russell Sauls; her husband Clyde E. Sorrell of Apex; and her sister Ella Mae Sauls Hurst (Johnnie Ruth Woodall Sauls). She is survived by: her children, Eddie Sorrell (Cindy) and Teresa Sorrell Atkins (Gerald); her grandchildren, Cayce Sorrell, Clint Sorrell (Mary), Bryan Atkins (Alexis) and Daniel Atkins; her great grandchildren, Owen Sorrell and Lainey Atkins; and her siblings, Silas B. Sauls and Jean Sauls Rhodes. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel (2911 S Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Montlawn Memorial Park (2911 S Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603).
