He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ziegler and Kathleen Lamb Ziegler; and his brothers, Edwin, Raymond, Donald and Harry.

He is survived by: his wife Eleanor; his children, Laura (Bob), David (Carol), Diane (Patrick) and Robert (Helen); and his family Russ. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
