With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roy Lee Burgess of Raleigh, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 15, 2024 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his daughter Crystal Burgess; his grandchildren, BeAsia Allen, FeShon Bledsoe, D'Erica Burgess, Royal Palmer and Tahleea Palmer; and his siblings, Linda Ray, Ernell Burgess, Brenda Burgess Poole, Evangela Burgess, Ardarion Burgess, Barry Burgess and Jarverene Stuart. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Poplar Springs Christian Church (6115 Old Stage Rd, Raleigh, NC 27603). A burial will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at the Maplewood Cemetery (145 Vogue St, Clayton, NC 27520).
