He was predeceased by: his parents, Abernathy Richardson and Emma Richardson. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Harris Richardson; his sister Mary Foster of Spring Hope, NC; his children, Brenda Hackney (Carlton) of Garner, NC, Rick (Crystal) of Wake Forest, NC, Randy of Raleigh, NC and Evan of Raleigh, NC.; his grandchildren, Tamika Pennix (Kirby), Christina, Elijah, Andrzej, Tyler and Nicholas; and his great grandchild Mason Pennix. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbors.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Springfield Baptist Church (4309 Auburn Knightdale Rd, Raleigh, NC 27610).
