He is survived by: his wife Lynn Lawrence-Summers; his daughter Dana Brown (Thomas); and his grandchildren, Marcus Brown and Olivia Brown.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Summer Home (596 Rock House Creek Rd, Spruce Pine, NC 28777).
