In the vast expanse of eternity, Robert shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Robert farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his son Andrew Davis Shook; his uncle William Yates Burney; and his parents, Edward Andrew Shook, Jr. and Mary Ila Burney Shook. He is survived by: his wife Christie Haynie Shook; his children, Matthew Kelly Shook (Elizabeth) and Carey Cecelia Shook (Michael); his brother James Burney Shook (Melinda); and his uncle James Lee Burney (Stuart Turner).
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Kildaire Presbyterian Church (200 High Meadow Dr, Cary, NC 27511).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Frankie Lemmon School & Developmental Center in Raleigh, NC.
