He is survived by: his wife Sophie Hayes; his pet Sissy; his daughter Zudie Poole Gardner (Lonnie); his grandchildren, Crystal Allen (Jeff), Dewayne Gardner (Julia) and Josh Poole (Lindsay); his great grandchildren, Kevin Biggie, Angela, Amber, Adalynn Gardner, Nicole, Melissa Previtte, Jaden, Jeremiah Griggs, J. J. Poole and Aiyana Norcross; and his great great grandchildren, Zayden Acevedo, Cheyenne, Gracelynn and Valerie Joy.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Raleigh Memorial Park (7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mitchell Funeral Home (7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612).
