She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Brady and Viola Furr; and her son-in-law Ted Cashion. She is survived by: her husband Robert Hendrix; her daughters, Ann Vavro (Gary) and Nancy Cashion; her grandson Christopher Winstead; her great grandchild Connor Winstead; her stepgranddaughters, Jennifer Cheek (Lee) and Sandi Sanabria (Minor); her stepgreat-grandchildren, Lauren, Sam, Leana and Sofia; and also, Rufus Short and Ismail Nijie.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home (7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
