She was predeceased by: her parents, Loomis Carl Goodwin and Ollie Belle Johnson Goodwin; and her sister-in-law Margaret Paige Goodwin (Edwin G. Moore). She is survived by: her husband Franklin Upchurch, Jr.; her daughters, Crystal Karen Wright and Kathleen Elaine Wright Immler of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Lauren Kathleen Wright of Wendell and Nicholas Alexander Immler; her sisters, Jackie Parker (Dave), Pat Aycock and Dolores "Dolo" Gearig; and her pet Barney.
A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Mitchell Funeral Home (7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612). A burial was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at the Raleigh Memorial Park (7501 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612).
