Myrtle Devaney Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Myrtle Devaney (Raleigh, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 9, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Raleigh Sherman Jackson and Blanche Davis Jackson. She is survived by: her sons, Wesley DeVaney (Kristie) of Raleigh, NC and Carl DeVaney (Billie) of Middlesex, NC.; her grandchildren, Chase DeVaney (Brittney), Reed DeVaney (Dalton), Caleb DeVaney and Callista DeVaney; her great grandchildren, Eli DeVaney, Alayna DeVaney and Grayson DeVaney; and her siblings, Betty Jean Carr of Morehead City, NC and Jimmy Jackson of Plymouth, NC..

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mount Moriah Baptist Church (3000 E Garner Rd, Raleigh, NC 27610).
