It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Miriam Carol Strickland of Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on March 5, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Sheldon and Burinese Odom Strickland; and her nephew George S. Strickland II. She is survived by: her close friend Janet Harris of Raleigh; her brother Garrett Strickland of Mount Olive; her nephew Reggie Strickland (Laura) of Mount Olive; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Lauren Strickland, Will Strickland (Helen), Savannah Strickland and Grayson Strickland; her pet Ripley; and also Georganna Strickland.

In lieu of flowers donations in Miriam's memory may be made to: Black Branch Baptist Church, 3370 Hwy. 47, Chase City.
