She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacqueline "Jackie" Smith Dowdy and William "Bill" Dowdy III. She is survived by: her boyfriend Alan Collie; her brother Bryan A. Dowdy (Melanie Gibson) of Raleigh; her uncle Ray Smith (Debbie) of New Bern; her aunt Harriet Marcus (Joel) of Raleigh; and her pet Molly.
