Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Michael Jon Konkus of Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away at the age of 86, on April 26, 2025. Though Michael Jon may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Michael Jon touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Konkus and Ruth Haines Konkus; and his brother Charles Konkus. He is survived by: his wife Arlene Thomas Konkus; his daughter Michelle Stantz (Mark); his grandchildren, Braden and Parker Stantz; and his siblings, Linda Burnham (Stanley) and Paul Konkus (Joyce). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Wake Forest Presbyterian Church (12605 Capital Blvd, Wake Forest, NC 27587).
