We are sad to announce that on January 27, 2025, at the age of 86, Mary Winnie Hines of Raleigh, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her siblings, Mildred Thomas Cox of Raleigh, NC and Heneritta Thomas Jones. She is survived by: her sons, Alfred Hines, Jr. of Cary, Glen Arnold Hines, Sr. (Perniece) of Charlotte and Michael Hines, Sr. (Annette) of Raleigh; and her siblings, Betty Hinton of Raleigh, NC, Ethelene Smith of Raleigh, NC, Edna Mims of Greensboro, NC and Joseph A. Thomas (Holly) of Spring Hope, NC. She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; And a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lea Funeral Home (2500 Poole Rd, Raleigh, NC 27610). Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Martin Street Baptist Church (1001 E Martin St, Raleigh, NC 27610). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
