With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lurenda Joyner Risko in Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on February 4, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lurenda Sarah Bottoms Joyner and George Silas Joyner; her husband John Victor Risko; and her grandson Timothy Reeves. She is survived by: her children, Christy Reeves (Matthew), Victoria Risko, Allyn Broderick (Lisa) and Misty Walsh (Tom); her grandchildren, Brittany Johnson (Ricky), Matthew Reeves, Jr., Alyssa Fotch, Cassidy Walsh, Brandon Broderick, Justin Broderick (Tami), Allison Simmons (Mike), Sabrina Risko and Olivia Risko; her great grandchildren, Trenton David, Harper Johnson, Owen Reeves, Melody Reeves, Mason Federer and Beau Federer; and her sister Gloria Cone.
A graveside service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Montlawn Memorial Park (2911 S Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603).
