She is survived by: her children, Stephanie Becoat of Knightdale, Deirdre Becoat Walker (Jeffrey) of Raleigh and Rufus "Buffy" S. Becoat, Jr. (Paulette V.); and her granddaughters, Brittany Becoat Norris and Alexandria Scruggs. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Lea Funeral Home (2500 Poole Rd, Raleigh, NC 27610). Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the St. Paul AME Church (402 W Edenton St, Raleigh, NC 27601). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
