He was predeceased by: his parents, George K. Pater and Carol Arlene Pater. He is survived by: his wife Maria Pater; his children, Raymond Allen Pater, Christina Michelle Schmidt and Samantha Diane Pater; his son-in-law Wraith Schmidt; his granddaughters, Renee and Terra Schmidt; and his brother Darrell Pater.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (2811 Poole Rd, Raleigh, NC 27610).
