She is survived by: her children, Shamai Sterling of Raleigh, Damon Sterling (Jennifer) of Raleigh, Shaikh Alamin-Khashoggi (Shelia) of Raleigh and Timothy Larry of Raleigh; and her siblings, Rita Charles of Raleigh, Pamela Charles of Chicago and James Charles of Chicago. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Steven L Lyons Funeral Home (1515 New Bern Ave, Raleigh, NC 27610). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
