She was predeceased by: her parents, Nadine Holmes (Ertle Lawson) and Raleigh; her husband Jimmy Thompson; and her sisters, Judy Hales and Kim Oakley.
She is survived by: her son Philip Thompson; her grandchildren, Caleb Thompson and Lillie Thompson; and her siblings, Sherrie Dorrell (Jimmy), Anne Blake and Philip Lawson (Ashley). She is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mid-Way Baptist Church (6910 Fayetteville Rd, Raleigh, NC 27603). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Midway Baptist Church (6910 Fayetteville Rd, Raleigh, NC 27603). A burial was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Montlawn Memorial Park (2911 S Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603).
