She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Bumsted Maxon and Alice Gehrken Maxon; her sister Marilyn Arnott; and her husband George E. Pickett, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Howard C. Pickett of Cary, Cathy Pickett Lamb (Andrew) of Burlington and Donnie Pickett (Wynn) of Charlotte. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
