It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Wayne Thompson of Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on October 12, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lassie T. Thompson and Elena Allen Thompson; his wife Faye Braswell Thompson; and his siblings, Grace Dowdy, Shirley Byrd, Jean Thompson, Thurmond Thompson, Durwood Thompson and Ray Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Angela Heigl and Joey Thompson (Louise); his granddaughter Summer Thompson; and his sister Rose Whitley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
