He was predeceased by: his wife Sandra Jones Archer; his brother Robert William Archer; and his parents, James Wilson and Sarah Mott Archer. He is survived by: his brother Charles Samuel Archer (Patricia) of Kenbridge, VA; his stepdaughters, Laura K. Bland (James) of Winston-Salem, NC and Lee Ann Kennedy of Raleigh, NC; and his stepgrandchildren, James Earl Bland, III and Olivia Thornton Bland.
A memorial service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church (100 E Peace St, Raleigh, NC 27604).
