He is survived by: his children, James H. "Jimmy" McIntyre, Jr. (Mary Beth) of Durham and Molly McDaniel (Jason) of Raleigh; and his grandsons, Evan McIntyre of High Point, Graham McIntyre of Durham, Connor McDaniel of Charlotte, Dillon and Owen McDaniel of Raleigh. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
