We are sad to announce that on October 10, 2024, at the age of 84, George Donald Barefoot (Raleigh, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Grover Barefoot and Sallie Rowe Barefoot; his wife Wilda Jewell Barefoot; and his siblings, Rupert Barefoot, Elwood Barefoot and Katherine Mangum.
He is survived by: his daughter Tammy Barefoot Harrison; his stepchildren, Peggy Jo Hughes (Jack) of La Vale, Beverly Melmed (Mark) of Cumberland, Denise Rinker (Randy Rhodeheaver) of Estero, Florida, Victor Rinker (Melodie) of Wake Forest and Jason Rinker (Hannah) of Frederick, Maryland; his sister Frances Austin of Garner; his nieces, Janet Carlyle (Billy) of Zebulon and Darlene Miller (John) of Cooper City, Florida; and also, Coco H. Dinh, Victoria Nguyen and Wynturn Nguyen. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
