Franklin D.R. Moore Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Franklin D. R. Moore of Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on January 19, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Franklin farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Franklin is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his mother Nora Myrick Moore of Roanoke Rapids; and his stepfather William Moore. He is survived by: his wife Robbie Johnson Moore; his daughter Carla M. Mills (John) of Wake Forest; and his grandsons, Joshua Mills (Rebekah) and Christopher Mills.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Mount Home Baptist Church (2272 Mt Home Church Rd, Morganton, NC 28655). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
The family is not accepting flowers at this time, but memorial contributions may be made to the Caldwell County Veteran Honor Guard at 128 Cedar Valley Road in Hudson, or Mount Home Baptist Church Building Fund at 2272 Mount Home Church Road in Morganton.
