It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frank Poydras Powers Jr. of Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on November 1, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Frank Poydras Powers and Rebecca Johnson Powers; and his sisters, Rebecca Powers Hines (Ken) and Mary Miller Powers May (Albert). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Bowen Powers; his daughter Kathryn Bowen Powers (Katy); and his nieces and nephews, Ken Hines, Jr., Becky Hines Boyette, Albert F. May, Frank P. May, Mary Miller May Wheeler and Gregory R. Lipa. He is also survived by great nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (99 N Salisbury St, Raleigh, NC 27603).
