We are sad to announce that on March 15, 2023, at the age of 91, Earl Johnson Jr. (Raleigh, North Carolina), born in Rex, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Johnson and Josephine Johnson; his wife Margery Scott (Margie) of Richmond; and his sisters, Josephine Ward (Billy) and Betty Ragland (Billy).

He is survived by: his children, Earl Johnson III (Carolyn) of Raleigh, Margie Springer (Rocky) of Raleigh and Caroline Douglas (Preston) of Boulder, CO; his grandchildren, Earl Johnson IV (Allie), Sydney Beasley (Fletcher), Scottie O'Herron (Eddie), Curtis Springer, Ford Springer (Grace), Sam and Mary Scott Douglas; his great grandchildren, Blair Beasley and Maggie O'Herron; and his close friend Lewis Pully.

In lieu of flowers, the family will gratefully accept memorial contributions to The Boys and Girls Club of Wake County, 701 N. Raleigh Blvd., Raleigh, NC 27610, the North Carolina Zoological Society, 4403 Zoo Parkway, Asheboro, NC 27205, or a charity of your choice.
