With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Delores Catherine Carter of Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on February 16, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Miller and Anna Juers Miller; her husband William "Bill" Carter; and her brother Delmar Miller. She is survived by: her children, Jill Skyles (Lee) of Hiawatha, IA, Brian Carter (Cathy) of Arrington, TN and Susan Kerata (Kevin) of Raleigh, NC; her grandchildren, Jason Carter (Kathleen) of Urbana, IL, Mitchell Carter of Moline, IL, Zachary Carter of Nashville, TN, Alex Carter (Mariah) of Nashville, TN, Cate and Niomi Kerata; her great grandchildren, Malachi Carter and Brooks Carter; and her siblings-in-law, John Carter (Rozanne) of Normal, IL, Mary Lutz (Bob) of Virginia Beach, VA and Joyce Miller (Delmar) of Chenoa, IL. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Johns Lutheran Church (1617 E Emerson St, Bloomington, IL 61701). A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family suggests memorials be made to St Judes Children's Hospital.
