Deacon Alton Bernard Tucker Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Deacon Alton Bernard Tucker of Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on October 22, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his children, Alton "ManMan" McCullers and Deborah Kearney. He is survived by: his wife Dinah B. Tucker; his children, Sharon McCullers, Bernadette Tucker, Pamela McCullers, Latesha Greene (Anthony) and Brian McCullers; his siblings, Gail Tucker Moore, Rev. Elnora Tucker Sanders, Rebecca White and Ernestine Green; and his stepchildren, Janine Dawdon (Rafaele), Larry Clinding, Randy Clinding and Michael Clinding. He is also survived by grandchildren; great grandchildren; other family members and friends.

Viewing was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Steven L Lyons Funeral Home (1515 New Bern Ave, Raleigh, NC 27610). Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mount Peace Baptist Church (1601 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Raleigh, NC 27610). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at the Mount Hope Cemetery (120 Prospect Ave, Raleigh, NC 27603).
