He is survived by: his wife Regina Estell Jones; his son Camden Lawrence Jones of Raleigh, NC; his parents, Norman Lawrence Merritt of Pittsboro, NC and Lueddie Jones; and his brother Richard Lee Jones of Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
