Betty Asbill Anderson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Asbill Anderson of Raleigh, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 31, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Vance Anderson, Jr.; her son Vance Anderson III; her brother Clarence Monroe Asbill III; and her pet Chloe. She is survived by: her children, Cissy Anderson Beckert (Bruce Beckert) of Brookhaven, GA and David Asbill Anderson of Raleigh; her grandson Michael Beckert (Brooke Beckert); her great grandchildren, Sami and Micah Beckert of Atlanta, GA; her granddaughter Caroline Malaspina (Peter Malaspina); her great grandchild Ava Malaspina of Cambridge, MA; her nieces and nephews, Catherine Asbill Kelly, William Asbill, Benet Asbill Maher, John Anderson, Jr. and Harriet Anderson Gayle; her pet Cole; and also, Tracy Traer, Cindy Landvater, Theresa Jeffers, Joan Johnston, Betsy Hinton and Lolly Norris.
A burial will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Oakwood Cemetery (701 Oakwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27601). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the White Memorial Presbyterian Church (1704 Oberlin Rd, Raleigh, NC 27608). Even when Betty felt she could no longer sing as well as she wanted to, she continued to volunteer as the church music librarian until the interruption of COVID.
