She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Lee and Eula Mae Lee; her former husband Jay Howell; her daughter Debra Goodwin; and her sisters, Hazel Johnson and Gaynelle McLamb.
She is survived by: her husband James Howell (Jay); her brother Earl Lee; her daughters, Tammy Hawkins and Karen Tripp (Dorothy); and her grandchildren, David Barnett (Angie), Deborah Byrd (Wendy), Sonya Creech (Jonathan), Michelle Moore (Chaz), Kerrie Gerdes (Jay), Jordan Hawkins, Dylan Capps and Summer Penny (Jordon).
