With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alfred Cotton Perry of Raleigh, North Carolina, who passed away on July 16, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Alfred Cotton may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Alfred Cotton touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He is survived by: his wife Bernice Lee Perry; his sons, Alfred Clinton Perry of Los Angeles, CA and Lawrence Anthony Perry of Raleigh, NC; his granddaughter Lauren McCray of Charlotte, NC; and his nieces, Valerie Dinkins (Benjamin) of Herndon, VA and Audrey Sanders of Durham, NC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and cousins.

“Ms Bea. I did not learn of the homegoing of Deacon Al until today. I thank God that a good man has gone on to his reward. I will always be grateful for the longstanding friendship I enjoyed with both you and Al. Though it is late, please feel free to call on me and Toni if there is any way we can ease your transition. I know that it is not easy but I have experienced loss of a spouse and I know personally that the Lord will see you through. Don't hesitate to call on us. David Forbes”
