He was predeceased by: his wife Carol M. McPhatter; and his parents, Raymond McPhatter and Bertha A. McPhatter. He is survived by: his children, Carrian Rooks (John), Jameria Self (James), LaRachel McPhatter-Morrisey (Ricky), Willie R. McPhatter, Jr. (Johnika) and Travia A. McPhatter; his brother Raymond McPhatter (Sennie); and his aunt Eldress Minnie Bridges (Willie). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
