He is survived by: his wife Brenda Faye Monroe; his children, William L. Monroe Jr., Amanda Monroe, Frazier Monroe, Stephanie Monroe and Belton Monroe; and his siblings, Patricia Thorton, Norma Blackshear, Sandra McKnight, Priscilla Jackson, Aaron Morrison and Christopher Smith. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren along with a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Pauline T Buie Chapel (543 Vass Rd, Raeford, NC 28376). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Freedom Chapel Church Cemetery (850 Shankle Rd, Shannon, NC 28376).
