He was predeceased by: his parents, Willaim E. McClendon and Victoria Lambert McClendon; his wife Jean Lanier McClendon; and his brother Bobby McClendon. He is survived by: his former wife Norma Jean Lanier; his children, Melanie Cifers (Daryl), William "Billy" McClendon, III (Amy), Charles Daniel McClendon (Heather) and Natalie McClendon; his grandchildren, Cayleigh, Cassie, Charlie, Madison, Sydney, Harley and Kylie; and his siblings, Jere Lee McClendon and Susan Parsons.
