He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Chester Cau Young and Carmie Leoria Wilkerson Young; his sons, Wendell Young Jr. (Jenell) and Timothy Alan Young; his granddaughter Rachel H. Young (Justin McGehee); his wife Sally Grey Herring; his grandson Alan Powers Young; and his daughter-in-law Janice Powers Young.
