She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Walker Cole, Sr. and Rosa Clark Cole Williamson; her husband Millard Rainey; her granddaughter Jessica Melton; and her sister Betty Talbert.
She is survived by: her children, Ricky Ward of Raeford, Debbie Collins (Brent) of Wingate, NC, Nicole Bell (Rick) of Raeford and Kim Melton (Jeff) of Raeford; and her brother Joe Cole (J. W.). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 17 ½ great-grandchildren.
