We are sad to announce that on July 24, 2020, at the age of 77, Sieglinde Merz Sumner of Raeford, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ludwig Merz and Elisabetha Stay Merz; and her husband Alec Cary Sumner. She is survived by: her daughters, Sherry Akers of Raeford and Vicki Akers Strickland (Marvin) of Raeford; her grandchildren, Tabitha Leviner (Richard), James A. Martin, Harley Ray Jones (Sarah), Joe Nathan Jones (Bethany) and Shane Joseph Strickland; her sister Lieselotte Zwally of Germany; and also R. T. Boan. She is also survived by ten great – grandchildren.
