She was predeceased by: her parents, Orvil D. Patton and Alma Jean Sharp Patton. She is survived by: her husband Ken Nicholson of Raeford, NC; and her children, Jeff Bates, Jeannine Bates, Leland Bates and Everette Nicholson. She is also survived by two grandchildren, three sisters.
