He was predeceased by: his parents, William Franklin Green and Catherine Locklear; his son Russell Jr.; his brother Billy Callahan; and his grandson Brandon Locklear.
He is survived by: his wife Nevelyn Locklear; his children, William "Bill" Locklear, Kenneth Locklear, Rev. Timothy Locklear, Lori Ann Cole, Sandra Locklear, Shauna Jacobs and Hildreth Locklear-McMilllian; his stepdaughter Juanita Lowery; and his sister Jeannette Callahan Buckner. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Boles Funeral Home- Red Springs (102 S Vance St, Red Springs, NC 28377). A memorial service was held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
