He was predeceased by: his son Donnie Hawkins; and his sister Patricia Hawkins (James Hawkins) of Colorado. He is survived by: his children, Dawn Isbell (Mike Isbell) of West Lafayette, Pete Hawkins of Fayetteville and Karrie Hawkins (Virgil Locklear); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Scott, Brandi, Kayla, Dillon, Brooke, Kevin, Robert and Ashton; his great grandchildren, Chase, Caden and Grayson; his parents, Robert Hawkins and Ella Hawkins (Stanton); and his brothers, Charles S. Hawkins (Lynda) of Rhode Island and George Hutchins (Brenda) of Vermont. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel (131 Harris Ave, Raeford, NC 28376). The military honors was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
