With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Millie Jane Cummings Hammonds of Raeford, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 17, 2025 at the age of 92. As Millie Jane Cummings departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Millie Jane Cummings. Though Millie Jane Cummings may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Temous Cummngs and Lula Bryant Cummings; her children, Eugene Hammonds, Kenneth Hammonds, Vicky Rogers, Furman Hammonds and Debbie Fair; and her siblings, EJ Cummings and Jackie Cummings.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Hammonds (Kenetha) and Linda Turlington. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (5752 Fisher Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28304).
