It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Leach Tarleton of Raeford, North Carolina, born in Biscoe, North Carolina, who passed away on October 10, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Junior Martin Leach and Connie Belle Freeman Leach; and her granddaughter Sare Oncul Tucker. She is survived by: her husband Alfred "Mac" McInnis Tarleton, Jr. of Lumberton, NC.; her children, Greg Tarleton (Sheritza Mandrell) of Goldsboro, NC and Angela "Angie" Tarleton (Craig Wade) of Lumberton, NC; her grandson Kardar Oncul; her great grandchildren, Ella Tucker and Braydon Tucker; her siblings, Carolyn Britt (Mike) of Myrtle Beach, SC and James Leach (Rosie) of Wilmington, NC; and her close friend Betty Pittman of Shallotte, NC..
