He was predeceased by: his parents, Ramon Vega and Elisa Padua Vega. He is survived by: his children, Luis Vega of Puerto Rico and Luz Coriano (Arnaldo) of Puerto Rico; and his brother Efrain Vega (Luz Margarita Martinez-Vega) of Puerto Rico. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
