With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Wayne Gillis of Raeford, North Carolina, born in Cumberland, North Carolina, who passed away on October 19, 2023 at the age of 68. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph Wayne Gillis to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, William Gillis and Vernither Gillis. He is survived by : his wife Cynthia Gillis; his children, Sheila Gillis, Rachel Gillis, Brandi Bruce and Adam Gillis; his stepdaughters, Karla Beasley (Ricky) and Kari Hogue (Chris); and his siblings, Ronald (Linda), Billy (Sandy), Mike, Jr. and Pam. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
