It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Calvin Harris of Raeford, North Carolina, who passed away on April 18, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Robie Woodrow Harris; and his siblings, Roy Harris, Bonnie McNeill and Betty Currie. He is survived by: his close friend Mary Baxley of Raeford; his children, Becky Harris of Shannon, Wanda Chavis of Shannon and James Calvin Harris, Jr. of Parkton; his siblings, Ellis Harris (Juice) of Raeford and Patsy Lockridge of Raeford; his niece Melissa Cain; his great-niece Justine Chavis; and his nephews, Timmy Cain and Shawn Baxley. He is also survived by six grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
