It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Ely Jr. (Raeford, North Carolina), who passed away on March 2, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Calvin Ely Sr. and Mary Lou Ely. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Ely; his children, James Calvin Ely III, Calvin Donell Ely and Cassandra Ulonda-Ely McGregor; and his sister Marilyn Pelzer. He is also survived by four grandchildren, one great grandchild.
