He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Ellis and Alma Maness Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Gayle M. Ellis of Raeford, NC; his children, Jack Ellis of Raeford, NC, Joey Ellis (Brenda) of Raeford, NC, Lynn E. Eisenhart (Ike) of Codorus, PA. and Jenny E. Whichard (Larry) of Fuquay Varina, NC; and his sister Kathy McQueen (William) of Hope Mills, NC.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and a great grandchild.
