He was predeceased by : his parents, John Henry Lloyd and Corina Brown Lloyd. He is survived by : his wife Hazel Lloyd; his children, Namisha Johnson-James, Brien Lloyd, Jeffrey Lloyd, Chris Lloyd, Ladarkus Lloyd, Theresa A. Lloyd and Yolanda McKoy; and his siblings, Gladys Brooks, Daisy O'Bryant, Maggie Thomas, Mildred McCallum, Corina L. Lloyd and John Grady Lloyd. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 14th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Pauline T Buie Chapel (543 Vass Rd, Raeford, NC 28376). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, June 15th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church (5157 Mt Zion Church Rd, Maxton, NC 28364). A committal service was held on Saturday, June 15th 2024 at 5:30 PM at the Center Grove Cemetery (511 Center Grove Church Rd, Red Springs, NC 28377).
